Topic: 10 Leadership Lessons Your Mom Might Have Missed! What I learned in my journey from one business partner to over 700! How to thrive, survive and grow as a team. Speaker: Rebekah Rivers, Keller Williams Town & Country Realty Rebekah Rivers has been in the real estate business for almost 30 years. She started selling real estate with her husband and partner in Miami in 1989. In 1993 they lost their house and business in Hurricane Andrew and decided to move to Tallahassee to sell real estate. In 2000, they sold their real estate company and opened their first Keller Williams Office in Tallahassee where they have 17% market share. Since then, they have opened offices in Panama City, two in Jacksonville, with a new one slated for next year in St. Johns. Rebekah and her husband Gene have grown their team of two to almost 800 agents and 40 employees with $1 billion in sales this year 2017 purposefully over the last 25 years. All the while, most important in their life has been their family. Gene and Rebekah have raised four children - a lawyer at Ausley Law Firm, a curator with a PHD in Art History from Columbia, a soon-to-be communications graduate from NYU and as of last month a Valedictorian at Maclay on their way to Yale. You can see why she works so hard! She will share with you some of the tough leadership lessons she has learned over the last 25 years that hopefully, if put into place now, success will come that much sooner or at least a little easier.
