Breaking barriers and flying to new heights! As we continue to celebrate Black History Month, meet Commander Jeanine Menze, the first black female pilot in the United States Coast Guard. With over two decades of service, Menze remains dedicated to her passion and is determined to inspire the next generation. “I just didn’t really see another person that looked like me and I wanted that and craved that,” said Menze. “So being the representation that I wanted when I first started flying, it’s an honor and a privilege that I get to do by going into schools and exposing them to aviation."
